LoZ Four Swords 2 Chapter 7

Chapter 7 

   Riding across Hyrule field again, Green took the lead, putting Epona's endurance to the test. Shadow was abit behind Green, also concerned for the princess. A little farther back, Red, Blue, and Vio were trying thier best to keep up. Slowly around them, the scenery changed from lush, green grass to the beauty of Lake Hylia, to the dusty sand of the Gerudo Desert. After about a half hour of traveling through the harsh sunlight, they came to a towering castle, much like Hyrule. Castle, as there was a cluster of tents near the entrance. As they rode into the camp, a woman stood in thier way. 

 "What buisness do you have with the Gerudo?" she asked as they stopped thier horses. Vio spoke first.  

"We are here to speak with your King." he said. 

"And what is your excuse for speaking to Lord Ganondorf?" 

"We wish to ask of a lost friend who may have found her way here." Shadow said. The woman nodded.

"Very well. Follow me, a guard shall take care of your horses." she said, motioning to one of the other women, who came with another and took the horses away. Red looked around as the woman led them inside. Poking Vio, he quietly spoke. 

"Are all the Gerudo people women?"  Vio nodded.
 
" Yes, however, every hundred years a man is born, and he becomes King. That is why Ganondorf is the only man." he explained.
 Red nodded and was silent as they were all led up higher into the castle. The woman led them outside, where they climbed a staircase to an open room with a throne in the middle. Sitting in the throne was Ganondorf, with two women hanging on him, talking. Ganondorf's near black skin was set with wrinkles, showing age and endless anger. His hair, tied back in a single ponytail, shone a deep orange, much like the rest of the Gerudo. A single jewel hung from a chain around his head, acting as his crown.   Six pillars surrounding the circular room were connected to chains stuck in the ground behind the throne. Walking up to the throne, the woman kneeled and spoke. 

" My Lord, these young men wish to ask something of you." 
Ganondorf smirked as he saw the boys and raised his hand. The two women retreated. 

"Thank you, you may return to your post." he said, putting his hand down. She nodded, stood, and left the room.        Ganondorf put his elbow on his knee and spoke. 

"My my, what an unexpected visit from Link and his pesky shadow. Would you care to introduce me to the other three here?" the tall, very tanned man asked.  Red jumped up.

"Hi! I'm Red!" Blue grabbed him by the ear and instantly Red quieted down.

"Don't be talking nice with the enemy!" he whispered. Red nodded and Blue released his ear. Ganondorf let out a chuckle. 

"Such a hig spirited young boy." he said. Green introduced the other two. Blue whispered to Vio. 

"Did this guy really try to take over Hyrule? he seems pretty nice. " Vio shrugged, a bit puzzled at Ganondorf's attitude. 

"Well, nice to meet the young boys who took down that Vaati creature. Trying to do better than me. the nerve of that kid..." Ganondorf's expression quickly changed. "So Link. Would you care to tell me why you've come out to the Gerudo Desert to speak with me?" Blue drew his sword. 

"Where's princess Zelda?!" he asked, preparing to fight. Ganondorf let out another chuckle. 

"Even with five of you, you've managed to let her get kidnapped? How pathetic." 

"So you don't have her?" Vio asked. 

"Would I have greeted you so kindly if I had?" Ganondorf replied. 

"Yes." Shadow and Green said together, speaking from experience. 

"I was thinking you had come for a nice little chat. Even mortal enemies have to take a break sometimes," Ganondorf defended himself, "it's not easy always being a villian 24/7. You really believe i never stop plotting ways to rid of you?" 

" So what if we do?" Shadow said.

 "If you don't have the princess, where the hell is she?" Green asked. The other four were abit suprised to Green's response. The Gerudo man laughed. 

"You really must mean buisness, Link. I've not seen you so riled up since the Goddesses know when."  he said. 

"I'll do anything to save Zelda, even if it means putting myself at risk," Green clenched his fists, turning and walking to the door.  "We've wasted enough time here guys. let's go." he stopped and turned back to Ganondorf.  "And if your trying to talk to me, it's Green." with that, he turned and left the throne room. Ganondorf laughed again. 

"I apologise for my colegue's actions, Your Highness. We'd best be off." Vio said. Ganondorf stopped laughing and nodded.   

"Very well. Leave my sight and return to your own lands to find your princess. Don't bother me again." the old Gerudo mand replied as the two women returned.  The four bowed and hastily left the room to find Green.
